Granada is a city in Andalusia, and lies 738 meters above sea level at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. Centuries ago it was the capital of the Taifa of Granada and the kingdom of Granada.

Granada is famous for the Alhambra, a gigantic historic palace filled with the remains of both Moorish and Catholic culture, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The same applies to the Albaicín, the old Arab quarter of the city of Granada and the Generalife, the summer palace and country house of the Nasrid sultans of Granada. The Albaicín and the Sacromonte are known for (gypsy) flamenco.

The cathedral of Granada with the tomb of the Catholic Monarchs (Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella of Castile) is one of the largest church buildings in Spain. The cultural wealth of the city, with influences of the Moors, Jews and Catholics make Granada one of the most important cultural centers of Spain. The "Universidad de Granada", founded in 1531, is one of the most prestigious in the country, and created the image of nighlife city.

Granada lies about 135 km from the finca.
