Marbella is one of the main coastal towns of the Costa del Sol, between Málaga and Gibraltar, and at the foot of the Sierra Blanca. It has more than ten golf courses, and Puerto Banús is the most prestigious marina in the Mediterranean. For people who love water sports, golf, and other sports, there are good facilities in Marbella.

Now Marbella is best known for the jet set and corruption scandals. But Marbella was once a rustic seaside town. With the rise of tourism in the 20th century, Marbella was a place for the rich and famous and behind Málaga the largest city of the province. The road from the center to the luxury marina of Puerto Banús is called the Golden Mile because of the many luxurious homes.

The main attractions are: the historic town with the Plaza de los Naranjos, the church of Ermita de Santiago and the Moorish fortress walls, the statues of Dalí, on the Avenida del Mar between the Alameda park and the promenade, the Bonsai Museum.

Marbella lies about 50 km from the finca.
